Now when you open the game, you will first see a console window appear, let it do its thing and then the game window will show up. You should now see something like this: https://i.imgur.com/3AecZOa.jpg
In the object Explorer window, click Object Search, select Class in the Searching For dropdown, type in LoadFirstScene, and then click search. When it appears in the list below, click it to open the inspector window for it, and scroll all the way to the bottom.
Look for Object.FindObjectOfType (the first one) and click the Evaluate button. Type in LoadFirstScene into the arguments box next to T and click Evaluate. Then below that click Inspect once it shows up.
The second line that says LoadFirstScene.RequireLogin, uncheck the box so it says false and click apply. And then go down to where it says LoadFirstScene.Start and click Evaluate. Click on the Evaluate button for LoadFirstScene.StartGame (guess you need to click both oopsie)
The main menu should then appear in the background :) Hit F7 to close Unity Explorer and enjoy the game! Credit to Kinetic13
can someone explain why my game crashes every time i start the game, I've already downloaded the melonloader and the dll but when i go to open the game it constantly crashes? the game also constantly opens the steam so what is going on?
ironic how the game is called breakwater and both times i downloaded the game at different times and i load into my world there is fuckol water...theres teh sound of water close by but nothing,,theres few 100m away water but when i get to it it like a dome like effect where it goes down to the ground and there arent even the physics of swimming..i just end up walking on some floor below/next the world
Using the MelonLoader fix i can confirm this runs the game in a half-broken state. The ingame audio does not play and only the menu music plays. And pausing the game locks it up. Aswell as some of the Ui elements are broken and dont work when you click on them. This does not happen when you play the game normally. Aswell after hitting objects the character gets permanently stuck in place... witch also does not happen when the game logs in normally through wifi. I'm sure that there is "a" way to bypass the playfab login without the game running in a borked state. It may have to involve the "try again" in the memory state as i screwed around for hours before with cheat engine for that but i could never fully figure out a proper way of bypassing without causing the game to half bug out.
This is because this client still uses some data from the server to run, cutting off that data by going offline bugs the game out. Being able to feed the client with data it expects when it needs could be close to impossible depending on how dependent they made the client on the server. Developers said once out of beta you should be able to play steam in offline mode, which would then be a client that doesn't require an online connection to a server.
When i am in unity and on the Object.FindObjectOfType(t), and type in LoadFirstScene and click evaluate it just says null and no inspect button pops up. how do I fix it?
The reason you apply the workaround is to bypass the login just so the menu loads. Since i see the message of the day in the background this appears to have already happened . At this point you just close unity explorer (F7) and press new game or continue.
Edit: currently works when you follow the workaround, see the comments below.
As of yesterday this particular download no longer works, there is a client server mismatch of some kind that happens in the background when opening the game. It worked yesterday but since then the menu no longer appears opening the game.
This leads me to assume this particular client is no longer compatible with their server.
You aren't able to update the game unless you have beta access on steam, which is only available if you pre pledged on kickstarter. So u won't be able to get the legitimate version on beta as of right now either since you can't currently pledge. And since the game isn't officially released you can't buy it until later this year.
Since people playing the beta version aren't complaining this leads me to assume they are able to still play.
About offline play the developer on steam community said this: "Currently with the beta build you cant run offline because of telemetry. The Steam Offline mode does technically work but the PlayFab connect doesnt respect that. Once we are out of Beta mode, the playfab data wont be a limitation and "Offline" mode for Steam will work as expected"
YOOOO NO WAY I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GAME EVER SINCE I SAW IT ON STEAM I CAN'T BELIVE THE BETA WAS CRACKED LETS GOOOOOOOOO Seriously though, this game might seem "mediocre" right now but that's cause it's in ea and the devs have been focusing on the main mechanic, which is the water physics. Honestly I've never seen a game with such realistic and interactive water physics, the crystals repelling water is insanely neat and I'd even go as far as to say it's unique, especially with how free and open this game is. Sure, it's pretty empty now but wait till the game is fully released and you'll see.
cool mechanics. graphics look horrid. definitely earlyyy access. but they played it up to seem like there was so much more to it. and i cant believe the movement mechanics are not even more refined.

granted there are bugs, but hey we're broke that's why we're here(most of the time)
