The file "Boneraiser.Minions.v2.1\steam_api.dll" in the Mega.nz download is flagged by Windows Defender as containing "Win32/Contebrew.A!ml". Cause for concern?
Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
I am aware of what a false positive is - which is why I wrote "Cause for concern?" with a question mark instead of a period or exclamation mark.
This was the first time I had encountered such a "false positive" from anything I had downloaded via IGG - to IGG's credit, all other downloads I've tried have been very "clean" up until now (even under Defender's sometimes-oversensitive scans).
Over the decades, I have had many false-positive detections with cracks, along with the occasional "that's a false positive trust me it's totally fine just disable your antivirus lol n00b" that resulted in very nasty system infections. I thought it best to exercise caution and seek clarification - no accusation or flailing panic was intended.
Maybe if lazy, spoiled devs would actually wait until they actually finished and bug-tested their games before selling them instead selling an incomplete pile of bugs and then pushing out 20 patches per day… 😒
The game is messy and looks cluttered (especially if you disable the smoothing), but you get accustomed to it fairly quickly. I think I've already "finished it" since I've unlocked almost everything within a couple of hours. (The only things left are a few un-found cards and minions, one relic, and one character, all the power-ups and such are unlocked and maximized.) But I'm not really interested in grinding and grinding to get whatever is left.
Maybe they'll add some more content later in the final release.
(And the card-game is trash, the computer obviously cheats. 😠)
Click the CHS patch! The second button then the button on the left IF I recall correctly. it might be detected as a false positive so jsut letting you know
