Im not your bro. The only thing you gonna achieve with this(in here), mod will do featured comment, and comments like this will be deleted. This place is for talking about the game. Why so hard to understand that? No one read your request here, nothing will change, no matter how many times you do it. Updates will be uploaded when available as usually.
I know there were like 2 ppl who talked about the update but no matter what I do nothing works. I link the path to the same directory as the game all many different folders related to the game but it keeps giving me the errors like everyone else. Also, I install to C: program files (x86) and not the D: drive b/c thats for disks. Idk if thats makes any difference but if someone knows exactly what path to install it to like EXACTLY what folder, then please let me know. thanks everyone.
You can select the game folder with the update-setup exe. The game installed like this: E:\Games\Blair Witch So with this path, of course it won't work: E:\Games\Blair Witch\Blair Witch - this can't be good You have to delete the Blair Witch from the end...
Your game folder store under "Jocuri"? Is the game loaded when you applied this patch? I will suggest you installed the game in the main root of the directory others than under the root folder, some patches not that smart to detect as they are cracked version that might only follow the path setup under main root. If you have the installation files still try install in under your D drive, e.g D\Blair Witch

I did applied and it work fine, and you are able to change your setting and save on the advance tab. If you purchased from steam you have no problem with this, by the way, really don't play this game alone.
did you pointed the update to install correctly to the installation folder of your game? once you done you will getting able to save the setting in the advance menu but FPS doesn't seems to be get rid off yet.
doesnt work for me, first it chooses path by itself. i have a game installed in path d:\Blair Witch, setup of udpate still adds its own folder Blair Witch inside d:\Blair Witch so the patch looks like D\Blair Witch\Blair Witch. it doesnt work in that path nor it doesnt work when i set it to d:\Blair Witch
yup, donno why is that. I was trying to help my friend patched it and it look weird when you choose D drive and Blair Witch under D drive and press okay it will become D:\blair witch\Blair witch but it worked for us by the way. If you don't applied the patch you might not able to save the game manually and setting for FPS cannot be setup too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6tkLggVPMU&t=618s This is after changing the setting to low for most of the features.
Files that downloaded from here didn't have password setup, if you did have this prompt up, please checked the files size and the sources you downloaded from. If possible go for torrent it took less hassle.
Is the file size less than 5 MB? Did you get the file directly, or have you used an exe? If the answer to any of the questions is yes, you downloaded an ad. Please try downloading the files again and make sure you get the correct ones.
I cant change graphic settings in the game. I press save, back to the game and again go to options - graphic settings and they're restored to default (high). WTF... Ok nvm... I figure it out. I had to install the new update which can't be found on this site of course. :| But yeah, it helps.
We need to patch they just released. It'll fix the FPS issues some os us are having. This is what the dev team just posted sometime ago: "Apparently, we underestimated the power of the Blair Witch's curses. We are aware that some of you have been experiencing performance issues and have prepared a patch that should fix some of the bigger optimization problems, live now. We will continue to fine-tune in the coming days and welcome your additional comments. Also, you can now save your preferences in advanced menu - as it should be. Thank you to everyone who gave feedback. We’d love it if you could re-review the game if you have a chance to play the game as intended. If you downloaded the game prior to the patch, please reach out to us and we'll send you a free download code for The Blair Witch Project within 7 days (hopefully sooner) and a code for BRAWL from Bloober TEAM. "
This game is straight up unplayable. On my GTX 960 OC, it just straight up freezes my PC. It launches but when I put my cursor in game. My PC just freezes.
I had aslo xbox but after 1 year i sold it, I HAVE BETTER LIFE!! I know you are making this comments because you are angry that you have to pay lots of money for games and multiplayer acces. Follow us, PC gamers!!!
Why even comment if you don't like the game, idiot. Go play your inferior xblock s and leave us gamers with powerful pcs to play what we want with better graphics and well, just everything better
Do you know the chances of going to spotify, checking out "look mum no computer" Finding "master boot record" and then coming here to look at the same shit game?
Don't worry about him. He only watches games on youtube and then calls them bad without ever having played them himself despite watching them and playing them not being the same experience, in my opinion at least. :)
Yes, because your opinion is the only valid one that everyone needs to hear and agree with. How about go play your small indie games that you love so much and stop trying to shove your opinion about the games you don't like down everyone's throat, especially when nobody asked for it. :)
Should have been a co-operative THIRD-person game -- with first-person perhaps used to convey fear / hysteria (players forced into dizzying FP perspective when their character was losing equanimity / calmness). All these copy-pasted FP survival-horror games just blend into one another, and irrespective of the brand name that they festoon across the box art. It's just lazy development not give players avatars and proper environmental interaction (infamous in FP games), in the year 2019BCE (Julian calendar).
The easier the product is to produce, the less effort the developers need to put into its production and, thus, the more shallow the product will likely be.
Unless one wants a "floating disembodied hands simulator". third-person is the only way to play a video game/. It is why gams like Fortnite and PUBG etc. are as popular as there are -- were they FPS's, they would likely have been ignored. Indeed, with VR common nowadays, there is really no need for the first-person perspective -- a remnant of an era where it was no possible to render an animated character on screen. Having said that, there should always be BOTH first and third-person play perspective options (esp. in non-competitive and co-op games). To omit TP for FP, is simply a sign that the developers were too lazy to bother / the product was a cobble-together cash grab.
I don't see any advantage in 3rd person. For example how this game could be better in 3rd person? 3rd person is also annoying due to your character being constantly ahead of your point of view obfuscating part of your view and the objects I am trying to interact with. 3d person was introduced fin the past for consoles hardware and controller limitation, in the PS1 era, when first person was a nightmare using non analog controllers. Third person was also a way to avoid the player to be too much near the objects in the environment and consequently see the low poly and low res textures.
peripheral vision -- albeit, unrealistic (as if seen from a drone's viewpoint), TP at least has peripheral vision; where FP is like playing while looking through box stuck to the head FP advantages:
much easier / cheaper to develop
easier to play (i.e., due to inherently fewer in-game actions / interactions)
more keyboard / mouse friendly (for those who play action games using e-chopsticks!) Again, all applicable games should incorporate BOTH FIRST AND THIRD PERSON PLAY PERSPECTIVES. In 2019, there is no excuse other than developer laziness and disdain for their consumer base, to omit options for players to play games the way that the players want to play them. Be that F.O.V. sliders; a suite of H.U.D. options or an FP/TP toggle. NB: Where competitive gameplay is concerned, TP/FP filters can be provided, to ensure players to not possess unfair advantages -- e.g., peripheral vision for the TP users; easier aiming for the FP-ers.
That's only because you're pushed close to the action, due to the avatar's chin being located at the level of these chest and pushed forward, as well as the lack of peripheral vision -- it's like looking through binoculars without zoom.
I don't get how 3rd person view in horror games is bad entirely. Do all titles with that perspective, except RE just don't cut it? Is Dead Rising, Hellblade, Little Nightmares, or even Bloodborne not considered to have good implementation in it's 3rd person angles? Not all horror games will have that same fixed camera scene by scene like in Until Dawn, Obscure, and even the 3 Fatal Frame titles. Credit where credit is due, not all is bad.
What is or isn't scary subjectively goes with what you deem to consider frightening. On the other hand Dead Rising, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and Bloodborne are in the horror category. Thematically those titles fit the mold of the aesthetic, atmosphere, with subject matter of mainly survival against terrifying odds. Examples: Apocalyptic plague in a Sandbox game (Dead Rising) Psychological Horror set in war torn environments (Hellblade) Cosmic, harrowing mythological action adventure game (Bloodborne)
It would be literally dizzying being forced into first person before each spook, allowing you to anticipate it. Some horror games have genuinely good character development and writing as well as diverse mechanics which separates it from shitty games that have absolutely no fear factor and just cheap jump-scares left and right. I do agree, however, some horror games feel extremely lazy, if you feel like you're losing hope in horror games, even first person ones, I encourage you to play Lost in Vivo, no, don't worry, it's not a AAA title. I appreciate the fact that you're voicing your concern towards terrible copy-pasted horror games (o no, spojky ghos111), but just give Lost in Vivo a try, and you won't regret it, promise.
The "dizzying" would be a part of the experience, and many people find it dizzying to float through the air as a camera lens, for the entirety of the a game. It could also be an optional effect, suffice it to say. If both (first and third) play perspective were at lest OPTIONAL, I wouldn't see any problems -- each to their own. However, to force the "camera lens sutured to the chin" perspective, really stymies a game's potential...
There have been 3 other BW games in the past with 3rd person perspective. All were single player games resembling a Resident Evil kind of gameplay. The first one was called Rustin Parr, and used the same game engine as Nocturne (another horror title from the same developers). These developers (Terminal Reality) later made Bloodrayne. Truth be told, the last game I mentioned was a better horror/action ip than the 3 BW ones.
I think I may have fleetingly played Bloodrayne... But, given they've moved from TP to FP, it tells me that they've either hit a wall, in terms of the technical aspects of the game -or- that they have made the calculation that it was more profitable to copy-paste games sans viewable avatars, than taking time to create the more complex game engines required for an on-screen characters and its environmental interactions. Indeed, the fact that did not offer even and option for third-person, should be proof positive that it was time / budget / apathy related, and not some "creative vision" or the like [to go with only FP perspective].
I think the same developers who worked on Layers of Fear and Observer worked on this game. It seems a familiar territory for the devs to stick to first person view as in their past titles aforementioned. I prefer TP perspective especially in a survival horror title. Lost plenty of interest in most of these FP view horror titles that are a far cry, when compared to great horror games already established in the past. For instance, I'd take Haunting Grounds by Capcom over an Outlast title.
Well, "familiar territory" is most often a euphemism for 'they're too lazy to innovate / do the extra work that an on-screen avatar requires'. After all, the best s/h games comprise the Resident Evil series, Dead Space, The Fear Within, Silent Hill... First-person s/h is a more modern phenomenon that has 'coincidentally' cropped up just at the time that low budget "indie" titles have become prevalent. Indeed, those s/h game examples, are all from big budget publishers -- buttressing the contention that its the development time and, thus, production cost that pushes so many game creators to default to the FP style...
Exactly, my point was made if given a choice between the new/less dated generation versus older horror titles. I'd rather replay the first 2 Fatal Frame games instead of going through Amnesia and even Soma. Not that I'm saying those are bad games, just not as enjoyable along with replay value with the older titles. It all boils down to whether our interaction in these survival horror sub genre of games impact our choice to pick and choose. One noteworthy game to me would have to be Condemned: Criminal Origins. Had the developers given more time on having a better sequel rather than focusing on the action/horror franchise F.E.A.R., we would have gotten a trilogy of the other. I suppose Monolith Soft was a development team that strayed from their unique take on a FP survival horror game with melee/sparse gun fights implementation.
I love the fact, that every game page I go to, I see people that are like Cavemen that lost all sense of English "Crack!?" "Where's Crack!?" "Plz Crack!" It's kinda pathetic how many people are desperate to play this game right here and now, it's not a drug, and IGG doesn't crack the games.
mean is just a nice way of saying you're a good for not thing ass hole. who parents should be damn to hell for making a horrible mark on the human race. but I was just being nice.
In all honesty C I haven't touched this game yet, But I'm kinda not hoping for a grand master piece, just something worth my time, A lot of the games in 2019 seem to be shit tier lately, liked it when companies were more into passion of games then just making 'good games' to compete with other Companies.
Well the, I am very happy that you [INSERT NAME] are not a bot, just like me. It is very nice to meet another [HUMAN] like me. I hope you will have a [BEAUTIFUL AND POSSIBLY SUNNY] day!
Stll a lot, considering, that only thing u do is waking around, watching tapes and flashing ur flashlight. Also, 5 hours of the game. It should have 5GB at most.
Hell thats a lot for me. These games take up a lot of room. Its gotten to the point that unless I REALLY want the game, I see it has more than one part.....nope.
I have one 5 TB hard drive dedicated solely to games and at this rate, when Cyberpunk 2077, Watch_Dogs Legion and Dying Light 2 come out, I may have to clear stuff out to make room for them. Either that or buy a 8-10 TB hard drive this Black Friday and migrate everything from the 5 TB to the new one.
I have over 1tb of storage and its jammed full. There is no excuse as half our steam games I could uninstall. I have uninstalled all the big ones and are left with 100s of little games.
Lol no joke man, I have a hard time getting rid of games I have not beat, and I hardly ever beat anything. Maybe one day I say. You are right though 13 is not that bad.
i have a 2TB HDD and even with that i dont download bigger games than 20 gbs i am more for the indies side, those have less storage and are far more entertaining than most AAA specially the rogue likes with their huge replayabality
