It starts slowly, but after a while, it gets a bit addictive. Very good and surprising platformer overall.👍 Make sure to go in the menu to save manually, cos I'm not completely sure it autosaves. Also, I wish there were more resolution options. And maybe some scanlines/CRT filter. Oh, I love the music cos it sounds like it was made with Super Nintendo samples. (can't tell you which games, though.) And the graphics too, obviously, make it look like a Super Nintendo game. A minor complaint : although I agree it's beautifully animated, I also feel like some animations are a few frames too long and sometimes, it feels like you have to wait before being able to make a move. Just one example, when you land from a jump (not necessarily a high jump), it seems that the character stops for a few frames, no?
Yes is great game. When the sun sets, levels change as new routes open up while previously accessible paths become closed off. You’ll have to look high and low both day and night if you’re hoping to find every last animal and treasure.
Seems more like a Shantae-wannabe to me. Shantae has her whip-like hair (not part of her genie powers, by the way), and this guy ... has his fucking beard do the whacking. UPDATE: Um yeah, it has some Mario elements too. Especially the cape-spinning. No stomping though; the dude just hops off enemies, if those enemies do not injure him on contact.
(5:00) Gruddamn, the player has to wait for the game to register the destruction of destructible things before removing their hitboxes. It could have been better if the player character can just smash the boxes and crash through them simultaneously.
Oh grud... .that room design in 1:20. How many times have I seen that before? It's meant to have the new player use the control inputs for jumping onto higher elevations, and recognizing platforms that can be stepped on. Textbook tutorial room.
It only be a single day, but the next day got a patch
so, wait for new versions.

This game was on my radar. Have only seen good things. It's also beautifully animated.
