this game needs a serious optimization :S running on a 1080 ti 16 ram i7 theres slutterings and freezes when you get hit or you hit enemies unless this is an anti-piracy measure i recommend to avoid it and look for nuclear throne or enter the gungeon instead
Hello! I'm the dev for this game. This sounds troubling, but there are some cases where high-end computers have had this issue and im having trouble narrowing it down to why. Is it always like this even after you restart the game? Have you tried Windowed mode? There's a micro-pause effect when you get critical effects on enemies and also when you get hit so that might be on purpose. Should probably make it an option for the next version. Would be cool if you could DM me on twitter @shotgunanaconda with more details of your playthrough.
you dont need more details everytime you get hit or you hit an enemy theres a 0.5 sluttering already tried on window mode too before i continue just one question what engine did you use it?
Ok i see. It really sounds like it's the pause-effect. I'm going to make it an option to turn it off in the next version. I used Clickteam fusion for this project.

There's a micro-pause when you get critical hits on enemies but also when you get hit yourself, this is actually on purpose for effect. Are you sure it's not this effect you mean? I don't think it is, the game is legitimately stuttering, and it interferes heavily with normal play. It seems to happen more with higher rate of fire weapons, like the LMG, and it's probably also related to effects like bouncing shots or explosions. I do remember noticing some strange pausing unrelated to this when taking damage, but it was just a surprise/annoyance, not something as major. Either way, it's quite gamebreaking, which is a pity for the game itself is solidly executed and pretty fun.
