For those who don't know, this isn't a trojan. Sometimes, cracked files will trigger an anti-virus as it is a good way to combat piracy, making people think it's a virus. As long as you get it from a site that isn't dodgy as fuck (and download the right file, not a 2mb .exe) there shouldn't be a problem. I have had to do this a number of times with games, it is usually the steam.api file that triggers the anti-virus as that is usually the source of the crack.
Different scene group, Different cracking method. Some get flagged others don't, You likely never get that on CODEX releases. Either way it's always a good idea to temporaly turn of your antivirus, As it can speed up the installation process.
It’s false positive. The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code malware! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! Like explained https://igg-games.com/virus-461012836-trojan.html.
