for those having issues getting this to run at all, make dam sure you "run as administrator" also, open the redist folder and hit oalinst to install it. as the game wouldnt open for me until i did those two things now, it opens even if i dont run as admin. so, i assume openAL fixed it. (be wise to ensure all others are installed too)
r7 5800x, 4070ti (latest drivers on everything except latest bios on motherboard) to which, it did the same shit to me. it needs ran in admin mode. So right click and run as admin or make it run as admin full time. also needs dotnet 4.0 or higher to run. So run the installer and see if you have it installed or a version higher (Its in the games downloaded files).

oalinst is an audio library for games like this (not all use it) but they wont open without it being installed. unless one adds a special command for it. to which i have no idea said command. which would kill the beautiful sounds this game has anyways.
hopefully pinning this helps others. as alot cant get it to open, but it would seem others have issues with the game running at more than 7fps.
