as bowie stated, DS4W usually works.
however, some games are programed
with "DS4 (ps4), or XBox" only controller
support. Not both, in which case DS4W
has an option to make your PC think your
xbox controller is a PlayStation controller.
so, if DS4W doesnt detect your controller
switch its output to PS4/vise-versa.

Try using DS4Windows, it usually does the trick
