if the game hangs after completing a mission. either disconnect to the internet before running the game or block it via firewall from connecting to the internet.
AFTERBURN and AFTERBURNER are far too similar titles in the exact same genre for this not to be a lawsuit from Sega if the game gets too big. If I was the dev I'd be praying that it stays a niche little title and doesn't do well enough to garner attention. Conclusion: Pirate the game to save the devs life.
Considering the fact that Sega can't even legally sell Afterburner anymore due to the fact that all of the licenses they took out on the planes in that game expired a long time ago, I doubt they have any chance of being able to successfully sue the dev studio that made this game. Plus Afterburner was on a rail. Your plane in that game is always traveling forward, while the plane in this game can go anywhere you want it to in the level environment. This is a pretty big difference between the two games, I think enough to set them apart
I ended up just buying the game. Thanks anyway though, hopefully anyone else having the issue will be able to fix it by blocking the game in the firewall like you said.
Yeah, I've been playing in fullscreen and it still happens. I was only once able to press the continue button after a mission. Not sure why it suddenly stopped working. Really sucks too, the game is great and I really wanna progress
It´s only 15 MB!!! That turns into 50 after decompressing. Pretty good optimized anyways! Triple A developers should focus a little more in this stuff. I mean less realistic graphics and more funny games. Sometimes (too many) they look like they´re trying to sell hardware more than a game.
Which reminds me that After Burner 2 on arcade or even Megadrive is around 1MB big and it's even more fun.😄 Well, it's for people like me who prefer 2D. If you prefer 3D, this one or https://igg-games.com/sky-rogue-free-609113341-download.html might be a better choice.
Damn! That one looks frenetic and FUN. Too sad it was never released for PC, I mean non emulated. I never played it, but it looks like it makes you sweat LIKE A LOT xD
Depending on your setup, you can run it at 1080p 60fps on RPCS3, or you can play the downgraded android version on bluestacks or any android emulator which runs great even on low specs PCs like the laptop I used to have( i3 370m (first generation) @2.4GHz, ATI HD 5740 512mb, 8GB DDR3 Ram).
Conclusion: Pirate the game to save the devs life.

Or block the application from connecting to the internet via Firewall
Edit: Worked once but now it no longer does, Weird...
