steam was runing when i started the game i even relaund hed steam and when that failed i added game to steam game list, did not work and then moved game folder to "common" still same error
go to "AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64" and open "OnlineFix.ini", then add "force_account_name=YOUR_IN_GAME_NAME" (without quotes) under the "[main]" section
Hi guys! I downloaded the Abiotic Factor v0.8.0.9915a (on May 19th from 1fichier) I was getting failed to load OnlineFix64.dll (norton detected Heur.AdvML.B malware) I even went to OnlineFix's site to download directly same issue.
I downloaded this game before and have played it singleplayer for a good 5-6 hours before actually buying.
To actually launch the game and play singleplayer Go to AbioticFactor>Binaries>Win64 and delete the following: dlllist.txt OnlineFix.cfg OnlineFix.url winmm.dll
Afterwards either launch Abiotic Factor or AbioticFactor-Win64-Shipping
norton.... just like a virus. but, cracked games will 99% of the time always come back false positive since no antivirus software likes cracked files/key gens etc. you must be pretty new to not know this. the game wont launch if antivirus blocks any files.
Same thing here, that dll is flagged as a virus. How did you manage to launch the game after removing the files listed (and I assume OnlineFix.dll). For me this causes a steam error "no licences".
Do I really have to explain what a false positive is? The method used to crack games is similar to the method used to code m-a-l-w-a-r-e! Anti-virus programs will detect the crack as a virus and delete it, even though it isn’t! :)
BTW, with this crack, you can play multiplayer. if you delete those file, you will play singleplayer
I get what a false positive is, but in all my years of playing cracked games not a single dll has been flagged like this one has. Just being careful ;)
I would prefer removing the online feature. How did you guys get the game to start without a steam licence error after deleting the listed files?
steam error heh you forgot about that just allow it from window defender it fine that safe because you mistake that from delete from onlineFix.dll it will allow you go play singleplayer but without onlinefix.dll it will put you steam error no licenses it may work around 30% changes i think
Could you elaborate plz? how is cracking like writing malware? i did it for my job (non harmful "malware" for PoC's). Changing some ASM JMP's or even dll inject doesnt trigger antivir. This tho is fishy. This instantly tries to connect to a hardcoded ip. not even using DNS. and not throught steam (tested in a vm without it). Theres a reason most Crack groups write "Block the games exe in your firewall" and its not only cause of trying to update.... i will analyse this in detail and report back (especially what it tries to todo with the unwanted network connection, pretty sure it is just a Dl&Exec actual malware code). Because it seems it is mapping a buffer in exec space and tries to call the pointer. In the meantime i would definitly count this a "suspicious" malwarelike behavior!
edit: had to reboot pc fixe issue
