It's quite obvious what the issues are: not enough focus was put into animation and music. (to go a bit further, even movesets among characters were not particulary distinguished)
The game overall is just functional, but lacks any flare to make things pop. The look and sound were both bland and uninteresting.
This is the official release? Then I'm afraid outside of a specific niche, this would not go very far. (my play time was at most 30min) -====================- And there's the issue with TENOKE: They like to bundle OSTs if available. And not just a single format, but flac+mp3. I remember in another TENOKE release there's even duplicates (one folder with flac+mp3 and another with mp3)...
But the main point:
flac2mp3 conversion is not black magic
If it's good no doubt there will be people who share just the OST.
For this case, it's all just bloat. All 725MB of it.
I'm sick and tired of TENOKE, they're a TERRIBLE release-group. I DESPISE and DISTRUST installers, and TENOKE doesn't just include an installer, they make their releases REQUIRE running their executable file… AS ADMIN because you can't just extract the archive file. 😠
Just realized there's no saving between levels, meaning you have to start from scratch if you quit, and it takes about ten minutes to complete a stage. Sorry, but I can't put up with this kind of hassle at my age.
