Emojis and police chases ruined the game for me. Emojis dont fit, and it makes hard for me to see the road ahead, also, they're completely unnecessary. Cops only chases and pushes me out of the road. Both make no sense.
This reminds me of Out Run. I do not like Out Run because it is not the kind of racing I want to play but 80's Overdrive improved it a lot! Downloading now!
Phew.... Looks amazing, has really good music and the gameplay isn't too shabby. But there is only so much unfair traffic movement I can take before laughing about it while uninstalling. Reminds me of this one unfair autoscroller section in "Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time". There is this one obstackle (a big Alien) that just switches "lanes" as soon as you get close. It's the only one and absolutely every other one just moves forward... but not this one, where the devs just had to troll the player. "80's OVERDRIVE" is a whole game build around this mechanic. Traffic that gets pulled towards you without you having a chance to dodge, and they skip multiple lanes just to reach you. Oh yeah... in the first and second level. After that, I've had enough. ^^ I'm not against difficulty, but my god... it's like playing "Mario Kart" and every piece of traffic is a potential blue shell.
Yup.. HUGE thanks to DARKSiDERS for crackin this in like couple minutes after it got out on steam. Insanely fun one, and yes nostalgy factory is strong on this one...BUT.. Also gameplay is daymn rock solid, so it just aint nostalgy :) ...Definately recommended. i actuaqlly bought this just now after testinfg- DARKZER0 scene release :)
