Will make sure we test our unit with generic filters soon, I am just in the process of re-testing at low sound levels which I also need to do for this model also. nnI always look to make sure that the app support doesn't replace features on the buttons as you never know if an app can be unavailable one day.nnThanks for taking the time to comment.

Since we have hardwood floors, don't need (or want) an app rather than the physical controls, and actually like the "jingle," this is a great choice for us. We also find it particularly well-built—with panels not "plasticky" or flimsy or too easily detached. We do wish you would test it again with the off-brand filter replacements and let us know the results!
