This language quoted from the preamble of the bill is worth noting: “The bill would prescribe specific language to make the disclosure and require that it be in the same font, size and color as the word ‘California.’” In the actual bill it says "...in a font size that is no less than the largest font used to print “California” on the same panel." Let's see which version ends up on the new California Olive Ranch Global Blend label. Who wants to bet on a triumph of poor color separation and illegibility on the new label? I hope I'm wrong but the track record of this company doesn't inspire confidence at all. Can't wait to see the new labels...
California Olive Ranch has been taking advantage of the unsuspecting public using the word "California" for years on their labels to their benefit in marketing when some of their products have olive oil from outside the USA.
