While olive oil can be used for cooking, coconut oil has been proven to be superior, it does not go rancid, it does not burn, and it seems to last a lot longer in storage. It is more easily cleaned from cooking utensils, are but a few of the benefits of using coconut oil as against using olive oil. It used to be run down as no good for cooking by the people pushing the use of olive oil but after much research has been done it has proved to be much better.

doesn't have antioxidants or polyphenols so how is it better? by what measure? longevity would be associated with olive oil due to high usage in the Mediterranean diet
