This article is saying that Xylella has got to Casalini. This is quite a jump and means that one of the most important olive oil producing areas in the world is now involved. Have you talked to Giovanni Martelli about this? The last time the Olive Oil Times talked to him was 2015. The olive oil world needs clarity in all sorts of ways but this is the future of Mediterranean olive trees. We need to know what is going on so that we can act and we certainly do not need conspiracy theories to light the way. How, exactly, is a scientist like Giovanni Martelli (to name just one) going to be making money from Xylella? It makes absolutely no sense.
