Pregnancy and childbirth can be difficult and dangerous, especially medically. Would you rather someone unnecessarily risk their life carrying a nonviable pregnancy to term? Stop trying to shame others by calling a fetus a person - it's not an independent human being.

Did you upvote your own comment? That's kind of interesting.
I explain my views on life-threatening pregnancies here: http://joshbrahm.com/mothers-life-risk-speech-audio/
Where in this piece did I call the fetus a "person?" Are you just trying to make a general statement, that anytime I say that I think the fetus is a person I'm shaming people? If so, that seems like an awfully broad definition of the word "shame."
Your statement is assuming an answer to one of the central questions of the abortion debate: whether or not the unborn is a person. Merely declaring that human beings must be independent to be persons does not make it so. I think that definition of "person" will have some pretty significant problems, meaning it will leave out an awful lot of people.

I recently text message a woman who was upset about pregnant daughter and wanted her to abort. She never met me in person and we had only one phone call but we did text throughout the pregnancy. It was still the lifeline needed at that time. Baby born and Grandmother adores him. Knew she would.

That's awesome! How did you start that ongoing interaction? How did you get her number?
