Excellent review/description Paul. I've been looking at this app for a while and you have made it more appealing already. I download, create, and duplicate a number of documents every term and I'm sure some of the workflows I could create would automate this. My work is pretty repetitive in nature as I teach the same two classes every term and manage about eight others that I have to do similar work for. Naturally, this would relate pretty well to the 80/20 rule (Pareto's Principle) as I spend too much time managing these trivial tasks for very little result when I should be applying those resources elsewhere. You've peaked my interest and I have this on my radar to do some more research next week as this term ends on Friday!

Thanks Daniel. I'm not in the habit, whenever I do something with a document, I ask - Can Hazel do this automatically so I don't have to do it again later? (often the answer is "yes")

That's brilliant! Such an obvious question to ask in so many different areas of life and work in regards to many different applications.

I download a lot of notes and assignments from my course website for college. If they could all automatically be put in a separate folder from my downloads that would be super helpful so I don't have to individually move them out of the downloads and whatnot.

I download PDFs a lot (journal articles for research), so sorting, filing, renaming PDFs would be great.

I imagine you could even scan the journals for keywords and sort them into sub-folders by topic/category as well.
