I guess the bulk of my routine planning happens on the train to and from work. I'll usually sync up with my weekly plan and adjust accordingly. Having a good start is the key for me and re-establishes for the day and what I'll do when I get home. Now that I've been freelancing I've had a lot more time with my wife and personal/social time. Evenings are the more flexible of my day. I typically have an allotment of hours for self-development that I mix into my evenings and lots of unscheduled/free/social time.
However, during my transitional phase I was juggling quite a few planned tasks in the early morning and evenings. (This ranged from prepping and editing a reel, reaching out to other studios, training, creating my terms/ contracts etc... ) That felt like a full-time-job on the side but became less overwhelming having set my Overall goals and how they elementally broke down into daily/weekly plan having Asana as my task manager.
