We have a limited number of our team using Asana but I would love to give "guest status" to a few of them to give visibility to projects that impact them. Unfortunately, they have email addresses with our domain name and get invited as members. Is there a way around this? I don't need these people to adjust anything inside Asana.... just have the ability to see projects.
I'm afraid the only workaround here is to invite them using a non-company domain email (like a personal email address) so that they can be set up as guests.
What if I'm adding vendors who never use Asana. They would need to create an account for my projects but I'm wondering if they would access it much if they're not used to using it.
I have had some past employees who are no longer with the business however when I go to assign a task I still see their names / photos as an option? Is there a way to not have that show in the dropdown? They have all been removed from projects & Teams. It’s more just confusing or I worry I will accidentally assign an old employee a new task.
Thanks heaps! Just had a look and think I can't do that on the free version. Due to this course, we will upgrade so thanks! On that note, do you have an affiliate link for this so you can get the tiny kickback since you've inspired us to join up?
Is there a way to change my account from a Workspace to an Organization? I started years ago with a gmail, however, now have a domain email (as do the other members of my account?
Yes, you can do this in your account settings. You'll see an option to convert from a workspace to an organisation. You'll need to identify the primary domain associated with it as well.
In this video, you demonstrated the fact that you can show the "view" in Asana that another user sees. How can I do that? In other words, how can I see Employee A's access/view in Asana? For example, if Employee A participates in Projects A, C, and E, where do I click to confirm what Employee A has access to?
To truly see what they can see, you would need to login to their account. Besides that, it's about adding them in the right place. If you add them to the team, they'll see all public projects in the team. If you add them to a project but not the team, they'll only see that project.
