Tags (i.e. a custom field) are a useful way of grouping deals or contacts into different categories. Going back to your previous question, you could have an 'Interested In' field which is a multi-option field you use to tag the instruments they're interested in.
Paul, often times we have a customer who comes in expressing interest in several instruments (we are a piano and keyboard store). But then they take that information home to think about it and then return to the store for a second or third visit before finally deciding. Should I attach multiple products to the deal? I’m just thinking it will give a false sense that potential earnings are higher than they actually are. If they are trying to decide between two grand pianos that each cost $25,000 then it will show a deal worth $50,000 if that makes sense.
Yeah good point. What I'd probably do is just put this kind of information into a note and then only add the product to the deal once they confirm what they're going to buy.
Hey Paul! Great lesson! I have a question. We are a custom clothing business and a good bit of our business comes from newly engaged couples getting married and we get to be apart of dressing the groom which is very exciting. I have always had trouble remembering clients wedding dates. I think it would be such a great touch to shoot a quick video text to clients on the morning of their big day. If we added a date field within their deal within their deal is there a way PipeDrive could send us a notification if any wedding dates happen to be happening. It would be great to have a system where in the morning PipeDrive could curate a list of (if any) wedding date shappening and we can shoot a quick video to those clients. Hope that made sense? Thanks!
Thanks! You could do this using Workflow Automation. So you could have a trigger 'Deal Updated' and filter to only run the workflow when the 'Wedding Date' custom field on the deal has changed. Then add an action to add an activity to the deal which is due on the 'Wedding Date'. This would be a great reminder to send the video on the wedding day.
I'm not as familiar with Zoom Info. When you create the lead in Zoom Info, is there an option to fill in custom fields? If not, you may have to do this manually after you create the lead.
Thank you
