Thank you. Great information . My issue right now is that I am clicking on more and it shows there should be 9 fields (that include the merge duplicate fields among others and it is only showing 4 fields. I have ran into a few issues like this. For example when trying to edit templates, it will not show that bottom line to do so. It appears others have commented on this problem. It's frustrating.

Hi Paul, when merging contacts, can I do so also for contacts which are not under my colleague, not directly under me? Can only admin account do that?

Thanks

Possibly. You can click the three dots, ... in the top right of the contact page and merge or delete from there. If you're not seeing this option, you likely don't have permission and would need to ask your admin to update this.

What solution would you offer to move a deal from one pipeline to another without messing up the reporting? For instance, if we lose a deal and want to revisit it in 6 months but don't want to hold it in our main pipeline.

For a situation like that, lose the deal and keep it on the current pipeline (This will more accurately reflect your conversion rate. Moving the deal would mess things up) and then create an activity to follow up on the deal in 6 months. At which time, you can reopen the deal.

I want to use Pipedrive to manage my clients as well as my vendors. Should I import them into one pipeline and use a custom field to separate them?

Hey Paul,

How do you keep your contacts database up to date? Any ideas or recommendations?
Some of our contacts go years back and we would like to ensure that we have the current/active details if possible.

Thanks,
Mye for Koos

Personally I just update the email, phone, job title etc. when I notice a change. But it sounds like you want to be more proactive and keep the information up to date in real time? For this you'd probably need some third-party service like Hunter or similar so you can get up to date contact info.

If a deal becomes stale can you revert it back to a lead without marking the deal as lost?
