Hi @paulminors, I just tested sending myself an email and seeing if it will be showing up in my "New/Recently Assigned" Section of My tasks. However, it's not showing up there.
If however, I go to Home and see My tasks, I do see those two test emails there. What should I change about this so I only need to go Into My tasks for screen and NOT HOME? Do I need a rule for that too?
In one of your videos (I regrettably do not recall which one), in you My Tasks page under 'Today' you had addition subsections 'Morning' and 'Afternoon' - May I please trouble you to advise how one would emulate that in their own profile? Note: When I assign it to the 'Morning' section is moves into Morning but not under Today Please see my attached photo for reference of what I am seeing currently. Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!
Hi John, you may have seen an old video which showed the sections within the Today view. This was before the update to My Tasks last year. Now you can only have sections i.e. no subsections in the My Tasks page.
As a realtor we use a compliance program to upload contracts etc. Asana is the process that we use to prepare for compliance. I wish there was a way to merge the systems together so we wouldnt be adding data twice. I think I will look into the rules and see if I can put something together to make these systems complement each other.
I am trying to use the subsections like you have with Morning and afternoon. It only creates it as a main section like Inbox, today and upcoming. I am missing something
Hi Tony, I know we answered your question on the group call but answering here as well for others. It looks like you have a new version of the My Tasks page that's currently being rolled out.
Hi Paul, This is very helpful. I've been trying to get use to using My Tasks. Question about email forwarding. Do I set up the white emails for each of my teammates or do they have a profile to got to when they log in to set their email up for forwarding? Thanks!
Paul, I used to use MyTasks much more and this video may have me convinced to go back to doing it that way.
One thing that has frustrated me is that when I send Tasks to Upcoming section, there is no way to put them in dated order.
I recognize that I could just put due dates on them and then view on Calendar view but a lot of times I don't know by what date I'll have bandwidth to complete them (as my work requires me to shift focus to "emergencies" fairly often).
Do you have any suggestion about how to keep Upcoming organized, or maybe I need to re-think how I look at Upcoming?
