What would you like to learn about Asana?

Hi Paul,
This is great information! I have three questions.

My first question is about sales projections. Is there a way to put in a "confidence level %" so that the sales projections could be a bit more realistic? If so, can this be done by deal? and/or by stage?

My second question is about data integrity. You mention that Pipedrive syncs with Google Calendar. Is there a good sync option between the contact details in Pipedrive (email, phone, company, name, etc.) and Google contact lists and/or Outlook (and maybe Constant Contact or Mailchimp, etc.? What do you suggest in order to ensure that all updates in contact info and preferences (i.e. do not send email campaigns, etc. is universally updated?

And my third question deals with data security (i.e. protection from cyber attacks). Obviously data in PipeDrive becomes more and more valuable over time as more and more useful data is added. At the same time, there are privacy and confidentiality risks. What is your review of the security of data stored in PipeDrive? What steps can we take to reduce these risks?

Yes, if you're using Pipedrive as a CRM you can input a probability which is your estimate of how likely the deal is to close. This is done by activating the 'Deal Probability' setting within your pipeline settings. You can also customise probability by stage in those settings as well.

For syncing one-way from Pipedrive to Google, I recommend SyncPenguin (this is what I use). You can also use this to connect Mailchimp if you want. This can be a two way sync so the two systems are always in tune.

I'm not an expert on Pipedrive's security but you can read more about it here: https://support.pipedrive.com/en/article/how-secure-is-my-data-in-pipedrive

Hello Paul,

Do I understand correctly that a stage progression could possibly be like this for your example of someone who ends up saying they need a few months on a proposal:

Prospect > Meeting Arranged > Needs Defined > Proposal Sent > Holding

?
If someone ends up in Holding, do you spend X amount more attempts to check in before finally "losing"?

I'm trying to think through how Pipedrive reporting would accurately reflect this "journey".

Not quite, I actually use holding for deals that I know are going to convert but that aren't ready. e.g. a retainer client. I'll put next months payment/deal in the holding stage. For deals where they just don't respond after receiving an offer, they stay in Proposal Sent as that's technically how far through the process they got before dropping off and it leads to more accurate reporting.

That’s perfectly clear!

Hi Paul

Can you clarify the key things that make it better to use pipedrive for sales rather than setting it up in asana?
Thanks

Beth

Well, Pipedrive is designed to be a sales CRM and has features that really help on the sales side e.g. better reports, email integration, deal and contact management. Asana could be used if your requirements are quite simple and you want something easy to use (not that Pipedrive is hard to use)

Hello Paul Thank you so much for introducing to Pipedrive, which is a very powerful tool. Which plan do you recommend that fits all belongings as a virtual consultant in the early stages?
Is "Essential" or "Advanced" ok? Or do they don't fit the bill because features, i. e. custom fields, are only available in "Professional"? Thanks and good bye.

Essential is fine for getting started (which includes custom fields). But most people end up on Advanced so they can get the automation and email sync.
