Hello Paul,

Do I understand correctly that a stage progression could possibly be like this for your example of someone who ends up saying they need a few months on a proposal:

Prospect > Meeting Arranged > Needs Defined > Proposal Sent > Holding

?
If someone ends up in Holding, do you spend X amount more attempts to check in before finally "losing"?

I'm trying to think through how Pipedrive reporting would accurately reflect this "journey".

Not quite, I actually use holding for deals that I know are going to convert but that aren't ready. e.g. a retainer client. I'll put next months payment/deal in the holding stage. For deals where they just don't respond after receiving an offer, they stay in Proposal Sent as that's technically how far through the process they got before dropping off and it leads to more accurate reporting.

That’s perfectly clear!

Hi Paul

Can you clarify the key things that make it better to use pipedrive for sales rather than setting it up in asana?
Thanks

Well, Pipedrive is designed to be a sales CRM and has features that really help on the sales side e.g. better reports, email integration, deal and contact management. Asana could be used if your requirements are quite simple and you want something easy to use (not that Pipedrive is hard to use)

Hello Paul Thank you so much for introducing to Pipedrive, which is a very powerful tool. Which plan do you recommend that fits all belongings as a virtual consultant in the early stages?
Is "Essential" or "Advanced" ok? Or do they don't fit the bill because features, i. e. custom fields, are only available in "Professional"? Thanks and good bye.

Essential is fine for getting started (which includes custom fields). But most people end up on Advanced so they can get the automation and email sync.
