Quite the story. I've done the gratitude journaling. I am susceptible to depression, and when it does strike, it tends to be severe. Most of the action I take is only enough to take me from severe depression to moderate depression, though. (I do have a few failsafe tricks that work when I can't pull out.)
Needless to say, depression ruins productivity. It is in healthier times like now where I develop strengthening skills like a serious meditation practice, and the Wim Hof Method to make me more resilient for the next time I start to slide.
Oh dear lord is the course good. I had no problem completing the course as I was really eager to do it.
I've completed the 10-week program and have incorporated the WHM into my daily regime. There is the odd day that I take off, but almost every morning, I start in bed with the breathing exercises, move forward to the physical exercises, and top it off with a cold shower. This regime takes about 30 to 35 minutes of my morning. I occasionally take ice baths at night, which leaves me feeling fantastic.
In other words, I highly recommend it.
And I haven't forgotten that I said I would write up what approaches have worked for me. I am having great success with a program right now. I am still testing and optimizing it at present. When I nail it down, I'll summarize it and forward it to you.
