The MP is right. Why send someone to prison for being gay. If prison sentences do not change the behaviour of a gay person, what next? Do we sentence the poor fellow to death for being gay?
Custodial sentences for gay people would turn our prisons into homosexual dens.
I'm glad we still have independent Thinkers in Parliament who cannot be influenced by religious bigots.
Our leaders must understand that our Ghana is still a Secular State and religion shouldn't be allowed into our body politics.
Yesterday we ignored the Constitution and allowed ourselves to be persuaded by some religeous zealots to build some National Cathedral. At what cost?
Religion has led many countries into unnecessary wars, hence the provision of a Secular state into every constitution we've ever drawn for ourselves.
