Government appointees go into office to steal, pillage and destroy, and to think that one minister could use her home as bank to pile up scarce foreign currencies speak volumes of the cancerous sleaze that has trounced the legitimacy of every morality they claim to bear. And this one is just a tip of the iceberg. About 80% of government appointees are incorrigible pack of thieves because they do not care about their constituents. Just visit their districts and find the abject basic infrastructural neglect , yet it is said the districts receive tranches of funds every year which do not reflect on the ground because district and municipal executives in tandem with MPs find the funds as conduit to foster their myopically egocentric sleazes and corrupt practices, leaving their districts in shambles. A president who fancies strutting the globe to engage in phoney stump and somewhat idiotic pan African speeches that don’t match his credibility is the bane of progress because he oversees this gargantuan scale of corruption and does nothing. A tiny country as Cape Verde or Botswana is on the list of top 10 African countries With good roads. After 65 years of independence, there is nothing to showcase Ghana for except corruption and it is trailing countries as Rwanda, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Botswana etc in terms of infrastructural developments.
